Whenever I work a comedy club with a Sunday show, I spend the night ad-libbing. It's a way for people to come back and see a new show, and it prevents the material I'm working on from growing stale. There's only so many times I can talk about being Jewish but looking Irish before I stab myself in the neck.

This album is one of those ad-libbed nights. I recorded this on November 16th, 2008 at the Comedy Caravan in Louisville, Kentucky. Coincidentally, that's exactly a year after I recorded my last album, at the very same club. If you told me ten years ago that I would have this great affinity for a city in Kentucky, I would not have believed you. And now, I'd ask you who is going to win the next few Super Bowls and bet on them, because clearly you have powers.

This is material you'll find no where else - because it's not material. This is spontaneous conversation, thankfully captured through the magic of Joe the Sound Guy.

The intent of this album is to make you laugh, but moreso to remind you to see a live show. YouTube is great, but a live show is a truly unique experience, that will only be shared by those in attendance. And the seven million people that I hope buy this CD.

As for the satire of Ferris Bueller, it's more than just coincidence. Every time I stayed home sick growing up, I watched Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I had no cable, and it was the one movie I had taped that I enjoyed enough to watch repeatedly (No offense, Superman II). Ferris always made me feel better, and I hope this album can do the same for you.

So enjoy the album, and come see me live one day. And if it's a Sunday night club show, it'll be 100% ad-lib, or my name isn't Abe Frohman.

Thank You,
-Steve Hofstetter
