Host Steve Hofstetter

"His sterling academic credentials...combined with his propensity for provoking intelligent laughs, has earned Hofstetter the title of "The Thinking Man's Comic."
      -The Queens Tribune

26 year-old Steve Hofstetter is someone to watch.

An author, columnist, and comedian, Hofstetter is also the host of Four Quotas, which airs twice per week on Sirius Satellite Radio. One of the main personalities of Comedy Express TV, Hofstetter is the host of three forthcoming TV shows - the College Comedy Festival, The Comedy X Tour, and Comedy Express Live. Hofstetter recently recorded a radio pilot with comedian Adam Hunter for National Lampoon Radio, and starred in his own hour standup concert, filmed for television and a national DVD/CD release.

Named one of Two Drink Minimum magazine's Best New Faces of 2004, Hofstetter tours over 100 college campuses and dozens of clubs each year. Due to his popularity in the college market, SteveHofstetter.com is the most trafficked website of any American standup act on the market today.

Hofstetter is known for his writing, first published at age 15. At 18, Hofstetter co-founded "Sports Jerk of the Week," an irreverent website featured by press like USA Today's Baseball Weekly, Sports Illustrated, and CNN. And at 20, Hofstetter took a year off of school to head up web content for the New York Yankees. He is now a weekly humor columnist for NHL.com.

While an undergraduate at Columbia University, Hofstetter was a well-read columnist for the Columbia Daily Spectator and a voice of the Columbia Lions. Hofstetter graduated with three awards for leadership, seven for scholarship, and the prestigious Gollin Prize for Outstanding Promise in Journalism and Media.

After spending a summer writing for Maxim, ESPN, and Sports Illustrated for Kids, Hofstetter turned his column "Observational Humor," into two books. The column is now syndicated and the books are 5-star titles on Amazon.com. The first book was also optioned by a major production company.

Hofstetter has appeared on NBC's "Ed", "Law and Order," and "Last Comic Standing," been featured by the New York Times, and been an in studio guest of the Bob & Tom Show. Hofstetter's credits also include local radio and TV in dozens of states, and more than 100 positive book reviews. Most notably, Hofstetter was one of the comedians featured during NBC's tribute to Johnny Carson.

A producer as well as a comedian, Hofstetter co-founded and helps run the successful Comedy Soapbox, which was twice featured in Comedy Central's newsletter.

Hofstetter was the youngest alum chosen to participate in Columbia University's 20 Under 40, honoring "Columbia's most talented and successful recent graduates under the age of 40." Hofstetter is also listed in Strathmore's "Who's Who" for his success at a young age. And he was the youngest comedian interviewed in Dave Schwensen's "Comedy Faqs and Answers," alongside veteran comedians like Ray Romano, Lewis Black, and Dave Attell.
