Poetry is feeling
It's life, it's about life
It's not about stanzas or line length or suggestive phrases
It's about us
And where we stand
The lines can be long or short
It doesn't matter
You can't look at a poem and say "this line was unnecessary"

Poems show aspirations, they show dreams and heart
They aren't some interpretive bull about man's struggle in life
They're about truth
They're about love
They're about anything and everything that the poet wants

They can write comments
And suggestions
And guidelines about how I should feel
But they can't make me conform
For I am the poet
And they can bite me
